St. Rose of Lima School educates 90 students in Preschool and First through Eighth grades, making our school one of the larger rural parochial schools in our vicinity of the Archdiocese of Omaha. Dedicated parishioners at St. Rose founded the school in 1911, and to date, over 2000 students have graduated through eight grades from our school.

St. Rose School is Nebraska licensed and approved and is accredited by the Archdiocese of Omaha, following the educational standards of Nebraska, as well as the Religion standards of the Archdiocese.

Although we have one of the lowest tuition rates of any parochial school in Nebraska, St. Rose has maintained academic excellence, with annual ITBS scores averaging over the past twenty years among the top quarter of elementary student scores in the nation, with several subject areas in the top ten percent or higher.

That’s probably why our distinguished alumni go on to become valedictorians, salutatorians and honor roll students in high school, excelling in academics, athletics and service organizations and exhibiting their faith in action by serving their community and parishes as responsible citizens in whatever careers they choose.

All of the last five Crofton High School Valedictorians have been St. Rose School graduates. This has been the trend over the past two or three decades. Three of the last five years, St. Rose School has had a State History Day champion who went on to National competition in Washington, D.C. Our students are perennial competitors in district Modern Woodmen Speech contests, Catholic Daughters of America essay contests and county spelling bees. St. Rose teachers, students, volunteers and families strive toward excellence in academics, community service, a spirit of stewardship and in spiritual and faith formation.

Our pastor, Father Mike Schmitz, Head Teacher, Mr. Scott Becker, and dedicated staff of lay teachers and volunteers, are all determined to provide a Christian-based, faith-filled future for St. Rose School students, carrying on a tradition of nearly 100 years of education centered on incorporating Christ into students' lives.

You Are Invited

St. Rose students invite all of our friends to join us each week for all school Mass each Wednesday and Friday during the school year at 8:15 a.m. at St. Rose church and for our weekly student Rosary service at 3 p.m. each Friday. During the Lenten season, our students will host Stations of the Cross at 3 p.m. on Fridays.

Join the faithful school families, students, teachers, volunteers, parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, alumni and other school supporters in the “St. Rose School Prayer Circle”. Dear Lord and Good Teacher,

We thank you for the blessings you have bestowed upon our school, our school families and students, and our staff throughout the history of St. Rose parish. We thank you for the gifted educators who have graced our halls and we praise you for providing our parish with the means to support a school that imparts faith and values to our students.

We humbly ask you to continue to bless us. Help us to continue to provide quality education to our students, that has its foundation with You. Help us to continue to financially provide for the needs of our school and our parish. Help us as a parish to band together, to work and strive together, for the sacred mission of St. Rose School.

We ask your blessings on our school students, families, teachers, volunteers, boosters, administrator and our pastor. Give us courage to stand up for our school and help us to continue our important mission in Catholic education for decades to come.
